Tim Mack’s journey in bowling reads like the kind of path few ever get to walk. Long before he became a coach, team leader, or pro shop founder, he built an international reputation through sheer dedication, innovation, and a willingness to take the sport places most bowlers had never gone.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Mack set himself apart by traveling the world to compete — visiting more than 52 countries and winning 77 international titles across 30 countries on five continents. At a time when few American bowlers ventured so boldly, his willingness to immerse himself in different lane conditions, bowling cultures, and competitive environments didn’t just define his career; it helped redefine global competitive bowling for an entire generation.

He officially joined the Professional Bowlers Association in 2003. Just a year later, a significant shoulder injury required surgery, beginning a four-year rehabilitation that tested every ounce of the resilience he had built throughout his international career. In 2009, he completed his comeback by earning his full-time PBA Tour exemption with a strong performance at Tour Trials — a milestone that symbolized far more than competitive status.

His success on the lanes carried over to the international stage as well. At the 2003 World Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Mack earned medals in singles, team, and all-events, plus a gold medal in trios for Team USA. From 2000 to 2010, he also served as Team USA’s captain in the Weber Cup, leading the team to six championship victories during his tenure.

Recognition for his impact came steadily. In addition to his USBC Hall of Fame induction in 2018, Mack was honored by both his home state of New Jersey (NJ State Hall of Fame, Class of 2022) and his adopted bowling home of Indiana (Indiana State Hall of Fame, Class of 2019). And as manager of the Portland Lumberjacks in the PBA League, he guided the franchise to Elias Cup titles in 2019, 2020, and 2022.

Throughout all of it, Mack has seamlessly blended the roles of competitor, strategist, and mentor. His ability to lead, adapt, and teach at the highest levels has become a defining part of his legacy — the same energy and expertise that now powers everything under the Victory Lane umbrella, from coaching and ball selection to the community of bowlers who walk into a pro shop expecting excellence.
